ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Our school was once an extension and a part of Jaclupan National High School, and as years of operation have been so successful. Lawmakers decided to construct the Republic Act No. 8730 separating the extension school from the Jaclupan National High School in the Municipality of Talisay and converting it into an independent national high school known as the Tabunoc National High School, and appropriating funds thereof.

The teaching and non-teaching staff of Tabunoc National High School are working together to create and promote a positive learning environment that will enable all students to acquire the knowledge and learning skills that will prepare them to become independent lifelong learners and contributing members of our society.

Education is not just about preparing for a fulfilling future; it is about living and learning fully now. We believe that students learn best when they:

  • Feel safe and happy and enjoy learning

  • Value their work and see that it is valued by others

  • Apply their learning in meaningful contexts

  • See the important people in their lives working together

  • Have opportunities to help others and be of service

We recognize that students learn and demonstrate learning in different ways. Some students are strong with the spoken word while others prefer to write. Some see the world through the eyes of an artist while others may be more technical. Some prefer to learn by themselves while others like to work in groups. We provide a variety of learning opportunities so that students can work in different ways using their strengths.

We believe all students are special in their ways.
